Shining pale gold, this Viognier offers a heady perfume of golden peach, nougat and jasmine. Flavours of ripe nectarine, mango and yellow grapefruit ensures a refreshing palate experience. The lingering flavour of grapefruit and nectarine is still especially delicious with scallops wrapped in bacon! |

| Winemakers Notes-Harvest-Vinification-Fermentation | 2013 was a stunning season in Gisborne, and this Viognier was harvested in the cool of the morning at exceptional ripeness. After the grapes were crushed to allow some juice to skin contact while pressing, it was cooled and slightly clarified. To maximise the full expression of fruit and floral characters of this variety this wine was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel. Perfectly balanced acid and rich alcohol ensure this is a perfect partner with wonderful seafood or white/smoked meat dishes. |
